How did these futurists known for their incredible club tracks in the 80's create a perfect Smashray in 1990 several years before the genre really emerges? It's a true mystery. If I had written a song as perfect as "What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)" I would be hard up to keep writing, but Information Society kept at it with even more creativity and experimentation. Truly inspiring. Did someone in Sugar Ray have this record in 1990? Possible. Did they subconsciously absorb this song? Was it more nefarious? We'll never know.
